A Girls’ Guide to Greenville, SC
I peeled myself out of bed at a too-early-to-function 4:30 AM, slipped into my trusty yoga pants, and threw on a tank that proudly declared, “Mermaid Hair, Salty Air”—because Summer. The very first day of Summer, actually. With my hair wrangled into a top knot and my mat under my arm, I bolted to the car. And just like that, my day began…
5:45 AM | Soul Yoga
There’s nothing like a 60-minute Power Flow session at Soul Yoga to kick your brain into high gear and shake off the morning fog. Especially hot yoga. (Insert all the yassss.) Sweet and spontaneous Sarah from Strikes of Luck met me there, and from this moment on, we were all-in for a digital day of taking over Visit Greenville’s Instagram. Sarah captured every single #girlboss moment from behind her Nikon D3100 as we hopped around Greenville. First stop? Hydration.
7:30 AM | Southern Pressed Juicery
Post-yoga, nothing says revive me like Southern Pressed. Their juices? Out-of-this-world fresh. Replenishing. Detoxifying. Choosing between their juice and smoothie menu is like choosing between Bradley Cooper and Michael Bublé—you simply don’t. You just take both. That’s the move.
8:00 AM | Happy + Hale
Breakfast but make it guilt-free. That’s Happy + Hale. Fresh, flavorful, and adorable—think retro vibes meets minimalist aesthetic. (Basically, Pinterest heaven.) Their juice game is as strong as their avocado toast, and the staff? The nicest crew ever. Naturally, I followed my healthy breakfast with something sweet. Because balance…
9:00 AM | Circa Doughnut Pop-Up at Spill The Beans
Say doughnut and I’m there. Say Circa Doughnut and I’m already at the door. This small-batch, hustle-hard crew is constantly popping up around town with their ridiculously good, made-with-love creations. Want to know where they’ll be next? Insta-stalk them (no judgment) or check their website schedule like a civilized human.
9:30 AM | M. Judson Booksellers & Storytellers + The Chocolate Moose
Talk about a two-for-one win. This downtown gem has books, quirky little gifts, strong coffee, and sweets like cake pops that should be illegal. Walking through M. Judson feels like stepping out of downtown chaos and into your own personal storybook. It’s a Greenville must.
10:00 AM | Swamp Rabbit Inn
When your feet can’t get you there fast enough, a flower-basket bike will. Swamp Rabbit Inn is my absolute fave. Sure, I live here, so I don’t need a room, but if I didn’t? I’d book it every weekend. Why?
Prime location.
Adorable vibes.
Owners = pure gold.
Free bikes.
Truck Inn Tuesdays.
Also, their Bike Shed rentals are a steal at $15 for 4 hours. Where they do that at?! Go see for yourself.
10:40 AM | Dress Up
This boutique has had my heart since before I moved to Greenville. They nail the curated, trendy-but-wearable vibe, and their layout makes shopping a breeze. Oh, and did I mention sandals were $16 that day? I did not walk out empty-handed.
11:30 AM | Westin Poinsett Hotel
The Westin Poinsett is steeped in history and has major wow factor. From the vintage rooftop signage to the Pinterest-perfect views, this hotel is the dream wedding backdrop. Future brides, add it to your list.
11:50 AM | The Village Grind
This coffee shop is my spot. The coffee? Smooth and steamy perfection. The natural light? Unreal. The community vibe? Everything. It’s the kind of place where you come for a latte but end up staying for the people.
12:00 PM | Sixpence Salon & Spa
Sixpence is a wonderland of pampering. Cuts, color, blowouts, brows, pedis—you name it. Emily had me transformed in under 45 minutes. The rustic-meets-modern interior? Swoon-worthy. It’s massive too, perfect for a “bride tribe” getting glam pre-wedding. Champagne, anyone?
1:45 PM | Megan Diez Salon on the River
Raechel’s nail art is nothing short of magic. How she paints intricate designs on such tiny canvases, I’ll never know. This round? Flamingos and palm leaves. Summer on my fingertips.
2:30 PM | The White Magnolia Bridal
This upstairs bridal haven is straight out of a movie. Manager Johna? A gem. Her one-on-one sessions make dress shopping feel intimate and stress-free. It’s more than a bridal shop—it’s a memory-making experience.
2:50 PM | Monkee’s of the West End
If colorful baubles and statement earrings are your love language, welcome home. Monkee’s is Greenville’s exclusive carrier of Baublebar accessories, and I’m obsessed. Their jewelry takes your outfit from “cute” to “unforgettable” with zero effort.
3:45 PM | Nose Dive (Crafted Bar)
After all that shopping, a drink was calling my name. Crafted, Nose Dive’s upstairs bar, has chill, retro vibes and a cocktail menu worth every sip. I went with a Bulletproof Monk and a Chachi Smash. No regrets.
4:30 PM | Birds Fly South Ale Project
Nestled in the reclaimed Hampton Station, this brewery is the definition of laid-back cool. DIY chairs, board games, cornhole, food trucks—and did I mention coffee saison beer? The Carolyn (made with Due South coffee) is my current favorite. Bonus points for being both pet- and kid-friendly.
5:00 PM | Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery
This is my neighborhood go-to. I popped in for a latte, but you can bet I’m usually stocking up on ready-to-bake casseroles, fresh cinnamon rolls, and all the King of Pops. Plus, the kids love the playground while we wait for pizza from Swamp Pizza.
5:30 PM | The Anchorage
The Anchorage is where rustic beauty meets farm-to-table flavor. Greenbrier Farm’s Beef Tartare, stone-ground grits, BBQ cabbage—everything was next-level. Then came the homemade peach hand pie with ice cream… I basically rolled out of there. Pro tip: order the Girl on Holly Hill cocktail. 10/10.
7:15 PM | Stone Pin Co.
Stone Pin is boutique bowling perfection. Picture this: Edison bulbs, marquee lane numbers, and a retro vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Between the food, drinks, and the game itself, it’s the ultimate girls’ night stop.
9:30 PM | Swamp Rabbit Inn
And just like that, the day ended where it began—at the cozy Swamp Rabbit Inn. It’s just as dreamy by night as it is by day. The perfect ending to a perfect Greenville day.
One of the best parts of a girls’ day out in Greenville? How easy it is to hop from one spot to the next. Downtown, The Village, the West End—it’s all connected and so fun to explore.
